Overview: As mobile operators increasingly accept the need for IPsec to encrypt LTE traffic across the S1 and X2 interfaces, it makes increasing sense to leverage IP protocols to provide a Public Key Infrastructure (PKI) for eNode B authentication. While mobile operators can build their own PKI infrastructure, many are already busy rolling out their LTE networks and have invested heavily in those build outs.
This webinar will point to a potentially lower cost model for authentication of eNode Bs in the LTE network. With this model, mobile operators can offload this small portion of their control traffic to third-party managed service providers that are specialized in providing specialized PKI authentication and other security services.
